Join MDPI’s Legal & Compliance team as a working student and help us handle data protection and regulatory compliance, while gaining hands-on legal experience alongside your studies.

As part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment, this role requires working fully on-site.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Support daily operations with a primary focus on data protection and regulatory compliance

• Handle incoming data protection inquiries

• Liaise with other departments to retrieve and provide requested data within statutory timelines

• Help monitor and implement policies and procedures related to data protection

• Maintain our internal records

• Draft correspondence and standard legal documentation

• Assist in preparing and updating standard legal templates

• Prepare clear, well-structured emails, routine legal responses, and internal guidance

You will communicate primarily in English, our corporate language.

Requirements

• Student Status: Currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution

• Language Skills: Fluent in English (C1); German (C1) is also required

• Technical Skills: Confident use of MS Office and digital tools for document management

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Keen attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
