MDPI Headquarters are located in the pleasant city of Basel, a northwestern city of Switzerland on the Rhine river, since 1996.

As our headquarters, the office in Basel comprises of primarily functional roles such as Finance, HR, Marketing, IT and English Editing teams supporting our employees around the world and contributing to Open Science. 

Basel is home to a large number of globally leading companies in the pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, medical engineering, logistics, finance, IT and communications technology sector. Basel is Switzerland's oldest university city (more than 550 years) and one of Europe's leading teaching and research locations for the life sciences, medical research, energy engineering and cultural sciences.
