Publication Ethics Assistant 100%
To strengthen our RIPE Team, we are looking for a Publication Ethics Assistant to support case investigations, resource tracking, and industry monitoring in publication ethics. The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree in a science field, ideally some experience in academic publishing, and familiarity with publication ethics principles. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our office.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Undertake background research to support case investigations, to locate internal and external resources and to track relevant industry development.
- Assist the management of representative mailbox and provide responses to routine enquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly meeting presentation by compiling discussion points and case management data.
- Attend and participate in weekly team meetings and team chats.
- Assist in the preparation of email templates and quality check drafts to authors, complaints, institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the monitoring of the Susy ethic case management system.
- Attend publication ethics relevant online conferences (COPE forums etc.)
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Science (bio or medical related subject preferred) and/or first experience in academic publishing.
- First experience or familiarity with principles of Publication Ethics is an asset.
Excellent time management and organizational skills communication skills in both written and spoken English. - Proactive and dynamic team player with excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for details.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and international environment.
- Willingness to travel to other MDPI offices on occasion.
