DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) 80-100%
To support our constant growth, we are looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our IT System Administration team. In this role, you will setup, maintain, optimize and ensure the day-to-day operations of our kubernetes clusters as well as improve collaboration and communication between developers and system engineers. You will join a fast-paced team driving in an international environment.
The position of DevOps Engineer is a full-time and permanent position based in our city center office in Basel, Switzerland.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Support development teams in automating application development processes across all project phases and implement adequate configuration management
- Automate our infrastructure, implement continuous integration, and train the team on DevOps best practices to ensure an operational, consistent system
- Help build and optimize our scalable kubernetes on-premises infrastructure
- Depending on the project, you will implement monitoring and alerting and support the system administration team to gain insights into the status of the application
- Build, test and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, train and guide the team in DevOps deployment practices
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- At least 3+ years of experience with Linux System Administration / Ubuntu servers and kubernetes
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Programming and automation skills are an advantage (Bash, Ansible, Python, and others)
- Experience with IT security: backups, data protection, etc. is a plus
- Detail oriented with the capacity to see the big picture
- Team player with the capability to work in a dynamic, international environment, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to think outside the box to identify and solve problems whilst developing creative and innovative solutions
