Legal Counsel (50%–60%)

We are looking for a dynamic and solution-oriented in-house Legal Counsel. In this new position, you will support the Management Team on various legal matters and ensure a high-quality level of our legal procedures and standards. This is a part-time and permanent position based in our headquarter office in Basel, Switzerland. 


As Legal Counsel you will:

  • Draft, negotiate and manage a variety of contracts
  • Coordinate with and provide solution-oriented legal advice to business stakeholders and Management Team on contracts, contract-related aspects and contract compliance
  • Ensure continuous improvement of contract-related processes and policies as well as developing contract templates, policies and procedures 
  • Provide legal advice to and support departments and functions in all areas of the company on various different legal issues
  • Provide timely, effective, reliable and user-friendly advice on legal issues and risks
  • Advise the CEO and Management Team on a variety of issues related to the company’s activity
  • Perform legal research and analysis with respect to changes and regulatory updates
  • Provide advice regarding compliance with policies and procedures, ethical practices, company values, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
  • Work with outside counsel and manage vendors as requested


  • Master degree in Law from a Swiss university, preferably with good knowledge of business/commercial law including contract and employment law, data protection law and corporate law
  • 2+ years’ post-qualification experience as an in-house legal counsel, ideally within an international environment
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Good experience in reviewing and negotiating complex contracts
  • Strong ability to detect and prevent legal risks and to protect company goals
  • Ability to find creative and innovative solutions, taking entrepreneurial requirements fully into account
  • Dynamic and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a pro-active mindset
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and international environment with a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken German and English
  • IT literate (MS Office, HR tools)
