Finance Project Assistant - Working Student (40%)

This position will support the Finance Project Manager in operational finance tasks, manage financial data, and assist with reporting for publishing agreements and institutional partnerships.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Assist the Finance Project Manager with operational finance and reporting tasks related to publishing agreements and institutional partnerships.
Collect, clean, and organize financial and usage data related to publishing agreements and partnerships.
Prepare data exports and supporting files for financial proposals related to institutional and publishing agreements.
Support the preparation of datasets for quarterly financial overviews for Society Journals, including payment and invoicing coordination.
Maintain tracking files for institutional agreements and publishing contracts.
Document internal processes related to reporting, invoicing, and financial workflows.
Provide general administrative and coordination support for finance-related projects as needed.
You will communicate primarily in English, our corporate language.
Requirements
Student Status: Currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution
Language Skills: Fluent in English (C1); German (C1) is a plus
Technical Skills:
Microsoft O365 / Excel: Intermediate proficiency in handling tasks efficiently.
Data Cleaning and Structuring: An intermediate understanding of managing information effectively.
Knowledge of Basic Financial Concepts: An intermediate grasp of these concepts to support financial tasks.
Soft Skills:
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work.
Organizational Skills: A structured and organized approach to managing responsibilities..
Reliability: The ability to meet deadlines is expected at an advanced level.
Curiosity: A curious mindset and willingness to learn are key attributes sought in team members.
