Business Analyst (Process Improvement) 100%
The Business Analyst (Process Improvement) is responsible for driving process management and process improvement initiatives. The role is critical in identifying, analyzing, and enhancing business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in delivering customer value from business processes.
As a Business Analyst you will:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and distill business requirements.
- Analyze business processes through data analysis, including examining log files and databases.
- Document and model business processes using BPMN 2.0 notation.
- Lead business process change management activities.
- Serve as a partner for development teams, providing insights into workflow-related backend software.
- Support various departments, including editorial, production, and finance, in process-related matters.
- Advocate and implement process management best practices throughout the organization.
You fulfil the following requirements:
- Educational background: A university degree (Masters preferred) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a business-related field is required.
- General Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience in a related role, such as a software engineer working on workflow-related enterprise applications. Publishing industry knowledge is a plus.
Skills: - Strong process mining and data analysis skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to drive evidence-based process improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, capable of identifying process-related issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Proficiency in business process management and mapping, with experience in creating process flows in BPMN 2.0 notation.
- Understanding of project management and change management principles to coordinate process improvement initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with knowledge of agile and lean principles.
Additional requirements:
- Publishing industry knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and other data analysis tools is a plus.
