Publication Ethics Assistant (50%)

We are hiring for the role of:

 

Publication Ethics Assistant (50%)

 

To support our Publishing company and our Publication Ethics department, we are looking for a proactive Publication Ethics Assistant. In this role, you will report to the Head of Publication Ethics. This is a part time and permanent position based in our headquarter office in Basel, Switzerland. 

 

As Publication Ethics Assistant you will:

  • Provide support with internal and external queries and requests
  • Coordinate the consolidation of ethics guidelines
  • Ensure an accurate follow up of all ethic cases
  • Ensure regular quality background check on published papers and present findings, or make recommendations to improve the ethic quality
  • Establish documents, reports and presentations, and support the implementation of proposals
  • Maintain internal systems, including data management
  • Participate in projects (e.g. implementation of best practice)
  • Ensure that all activities are dealt with confidentiality and neutrality


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • First experience or familiarity with principles of Publication Ethics is an asset
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Proactive and dynamic team player with excellent interpersonal skills and an eye for details
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and international environment
